Tips for Surviving the Winter on Raw Foods

Last night, I had the privilege to listen to a live show with Frederic Patenaude giving tips on how to survive the winter on raw foods and I would like to share those tips with you.

1. Stay raw as much as possible
2. Exercise more
3. Decide you are going to be healthy during the winter
4. Avoid grain products
5. Avoid nuts and fats (don't need more fats in the winter)
6. Avoid mucus foods - pastas, rice, etc. (these contribute to colds and flus)
7. Keep track of what you are eating
8. Foods don't have to be cold (let them stay out at room temperature/warm then in the dehydrator)
9. Stay warm in the winter
10. Get outside more
11. Exercise and stay fit
